If you're a fan of the genre, you'll be a fan of this game. This game gives you all of the stuff that makes games like Subway Surfers and Temple Run huge hits, even if it doesn't possess the polish and creativity of those games. Running Fred is by no means perfect, but that won't matter much if you're a fan of running games. The game's music becomes really repetitive after a few levels, as well. The game's graphics aren't terrible, but the characters are incredibly blocky. Jumping is a little easier, but Running Fred could benefit from onscreen swipe controls like some runners offer. This can be a tough task, since the game only responds to your movements when you yank your phone or tablet fiercely to one side subtle movements will just make you lose the game.
Y8 RUNNING FRED LITE FULL
Fred runs at full speed all the time, and your job is to make him jump or quickly dodge obstacles as they enter his path. In it, you take control of Fred, a redhead kid who is trying desperately to navigate through treacherous dungeons and away from a dangerous Grim Reaper-esque character. This game is a somewhat standard running game, akin to the Temple Run series. The controls - which can be frustrating at times - only add to the challenge. There are enough levels and special features to keep most fans of this genre of gaming happy, especially since they can be fairly challenging. Running Fred isn't a very creative or well-executed entry into the chronology of running games, but it is fun to play.
